Luis Figueredo

Fred Tanner

A decorated Army Veteran who spent over 23 years in active duty and conducting crisis management. After retiring at the rank of Colonel, he served as the inaugural Director for the Office of Professional Development for the NYPD. There he was tasked with creating and supervising a comprehensive set of professional development opportunities that ensured leaders were prepared for greater levels of responsibility. Today, as Director of Emergency Services, Fred provides direction for the policy, operations, knowledge management, documentation, training and performance of Brosnan’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

One of the ways we do this is by guaranteeing mandatory basic training for all security officers and offering above-average compensation. For many, becoming a security officer is the first step toward a career at Brosnan. Our management team continually evaluates our officers for open staff positions.

Officer of the Month

Each month, Brosnan field leaders submit their picks for Officer of the Month. Two officers are chosen to receive a monetary reward and recognition in Brosnan's monthly

SPOT Award

Brosnan's "On the SPOT" Awards are given during supervisor visits to officers caught going above and beyond. These awards can be given anytime, anywhere and include a monetary reward.
